Default H. pustulatus - Philippine Sailfin Dragon

Ok....so I got myself the lizard that I've wanted for years for my birthday this year.....it's the big 50. On a whim, I checked the availability on Sailfindragons.com - there weren't any available so I emailed Scott to ask him about getting on a list for next season....his deal fell through on a late hatch from this year.....it all fell into place and that's how Sinbad came to live with me....

He's 2.5 months old and 12.5 inches long....no weight yet because he just came in this morning....he's acclimating so forgive the pics....they are through the screen top with heavy misting. This was his first photo opportunity in his new home.....all the glass is papered at Scott's suggestion to prevent nose rubs....which means that I can only view him from the top....sucks for me and scares the snot out of him....

Sinbad's first day home....

They usually are between 3-4 feet when grown. There are pics on Scott's site sailfindragon.com if you guys want to see adults. They look much different than they do when they are babies.

I opened a front viewing area this evening on the front of the enclosure. Now he can see when I'm walking up and he's not so startled when the big giant head looms above babbling baby talk to him. He's really into the water and misting but not so much when it comes to the misting apparatus. I think he still feels like it will eat him.
