Lobsters can be kept in sterilite containers or aquariums. Vasaline around the tops is recommended to prevent escapes.
I myself use a wood frame covered with insect screen as a covered lid on a sterilite container. As pictured at the bottom.
Best kept at 75F and up to 85F
I have also kept them at 70F and they have reproduced just fine at that temp.
Fruits and vegies are the best foods. Here are some of the foods I use!
Lettuce
Carrots
Potatoe peelings
Mango seeds and skins
soft fruits like bananas can be used, but do expire quicker then apples etc.
They will breed at a great rate when food is offered daily. Spraying the food with water will add moisture.
Egg cartons turned upside down provide a place for them to hide and breed. Egg cartons stacked on top of each other help breed greater numbers.
Adults grow to about an inch in length.
These are a great source of food for animals that eat crickets. Roaches don't smell like crickets do and they don't drop dead at the drop of a hat either.
They are a great, cheap way to feed animals!
