All posts will be read through by the end of the contest and any that are the same will be deleted. The person that first posted them will get credit for them. So there will not be a need to reply to a post that someone has already posted that before....
Thanks and Have a Nice Day

Hey this contest is about reptiles right???? Well I see post on there with frogs and toads, there not reptiles...... Are we aloud to post about them or something?

the difference between those posts and the ones that were deducted were pretty straightforward. The posts deducted revolved around subjects other than reptiles, the reptiles in those posts were a byproduct of the article and not the subject.
If I really wanted to nit pick, I can count at least 15-20 other posts in total made by all participants that wouldnt fit into my guidelines for this months contest. But I'm not ging to, this contest is about adding more info and educative material to this site, its not about who ultimately wins this months contest.
Now if the goal here is to ultimately win the contest rather than to be a active participating member of this site, than I'll make it really simple...I'll set up a few more moderators and go through each and every post with a fine toothed comb.
But...then again, thats not what the contest is all about. Its about participating and actively contributing to the forums...although there is a "Perk" for those who do.
Now if you ask me, I dont mind reading about toads or frogs just as long as the article is informative and expands what I know about them, even though they "Technically" fall into the amphibian category versus reptilian category. I say close enough...at least closer than a article that was just skimmed through and then posted just because the term "reptile" showed up in it once or twice.
Thanks to all who are participating.

Does every one say the same thing? OH well WHO cares I don't mind at all.... I know it's not just about the post and all..... BUT I want to ask is News.com ok to post? Every time I post a post from News.com some one takes it off. It's about reptiles and news but why do you not like it?

I've sat here for 3 hours reading posts and double checking to make sure that they are not duplicates. I've deleted all posts that are duplicates, and i take a not of them and send them to Alex so he can adjust points accordingly. I have a great memory and I can remember posts on page 5 of here with no problems, and if any new posts are the same they are deleted as soon as I see them. It has nothing to do with where they come from. It has to do with them already being here

Ya, I know. It just it's hard to see who has posted what, when there are more than 1 page of posts..... I am learning about by looking at all this stuff on reptiles.....That's a real good thing.
