Dangerous Snakes Removed From Silver Spring Home

SILVER SPRING, Md. --

A man from Silver Spring, Md., is facing charges for importing poisonous snakes into the State of Maryland.
Authorities said they seized seven snakes at the home of Matthew Johnston.
News4 reported the snakes included gaboon vipers, cottonmouths, a rattlesnake and a copperhead.
Experts say the poison from a gaboon viper can kill a person within 15 minutes.
Authorities took the snakes to the Catoctin Mountain Zoo.
