Well, I've been pretty frustrated with the BRBs lately...

It seems as if they've wanted nothing to do with each other.

Well, I don't want to get my hopes up, but my female has been acting how I'd expect a gravid female to act.

She lays on her side coiled... and there was a 'strange' looking stool that came about two days ago. Should I hope that it was a waxy stool?

Here's a few pics...

Fingers crossed!

I sure hope not!!!

(Sorry  Couldn't resist...)

BRBs, like most ( I think all ) boas are livebearing and the babies are incubated in their 'eggs' inside the mother!

I am really not trying to get all pumped, but this could turn out to be pretty exciting!!!

OOps  . So used to looking at gravid pythons, haven't seen to many people on here with gravid boas. Good luck anyway.

Hope she pops for you...

Definitely a BIG girl...isn't she?

Not really...

Seems bigger in the back end, but not significantly. That's why I don't wanna get my hopes up. I don't know how big she's supposed to get! I'm hoping for a small litter rather than nothing! (Although a large litter would be even better!)

She certainly has some nice color to her, and is looking a little lumpy in the first pic. From what I know, Rainbows don't always show their gravid status.

She has nice bright crescents...and she DOES look lumpy...I just didn't want to say anything and get Brent's hopes up...LOL

Eve, the female, is still in shed, but at least they know what to do now! Hopefully they'll do alot of it as soon as she is out of shed!

whoa!

I just checked on them again, and this guy just can't seem to leave his girl alone! He used to NEVER pay her any attention when I tried to introduce them, but now he's always harassing her!

Well, now I'm nearly certain that this girl is gravid, or at the very least ovulating! Only problem is that I don't know when to expect birth, as she's been iffy back and forth! No matter what though, she's HUGE NOW!!!

Brent, if she is ovulating, the swelling will go disappear quickly, and you need to get that male back in with her and keep him there for a while.

Otherwise, babies are on the way, and you should be smiling. :D

It would be wonderful to see baby BRBs. They are very nice and should make beautiful babies.

It seems pretty late in the season for ovulation, but hey, I'll take it!

(would obviously prefer that she's already gravid! *fingers crossed!*)

She doesn't care how late in the season you think it is  .

LOL...

She is definitely a thick girl...

And her spine is showing quite well...a pretty decent sign of being gravid...I would think.

Good luck...she is a good looking girl...
