She's about 23 inches long. Didn't weigh her cause I don't have my scale set up yet....but soon.

I like her color.

Thanks Derek, and SMILE! Each day brings us more reptiles and that much closer to the next thing, whatever it might be.

Each day brings us more reptiles and that much closer to the next thing, whatever it might be. Amen to that!! Nice boa. How old, under 6 months?

C'mon Ken....what have you done to deserve such presents?

Personally, I BRIBE people to send me these "gifts". Sent some folks a bit of cash and "hint" as to what it is you want. Sometimes they actually can send it to you! It's funny what people are willing to part with when faced with money!

Oh Yeah!!! I wanted to mention this....

Has anyone else ever noticed how SLOWLY a snake flicks its tongue when it is rather cold? It was actually quite funny. If I'd have had the camera in my hand I probably could have gotten 4-5 pics each time she did it. Not good for the snake, I'm sure.....but it really was neat to see!

I just had to come back and brag for a second....While I was in the shower the UPS man dropped off a box for me as well. Of course it didn't have anything alive in it, but it was my flexwatt so now tonight I can work on my rack..

Scott I wanted to make sure I had it right so this is wht you told me to do right...

1. Plug in extention cord
2. Stand in puddle of water (take shoes off as rubber conduction electricity)
3. Chew piece of gum while it is aluminum wrapper
4. hold onto something metal
5. Get knive and chop off end to extention cord
6. Chew the rubber off to get to bare wires
7. Lick wires to makes sure there is current
8. Add clamps
9. grab clamps to make sure current is going to tape
10 put tape in rack

That was everything you told me right buddy? I know that has to be the correct way since you'd have to see me get shocked

Scissors, not a knife!

Looks like you are ready to be an electrician.... just like me!

Be nice boys!!!! Just remember to test ANYTHING electrical thoroughly before using. The best way to make sure it's working correctly is to immerse in water, preferrably while bathing.

That said....here are two more pics (taken with a different camera). The color of the new girl is more noticeable when put next to the BCI I got from Natures Spirit last November.

I am dying to see them side by side, but I think I'll wait a few months. Hermione (my little locality cross from Natures Spirit) is the "normal" colored one and the yellow snake came from Shawna Carson of Refined Reptiles out of Florida. I'm not used to seeing a boa that yellow. She is pretty. Poor Bob is going to have to wait quite a while before his ladies are ready for him. Maybe next fall I'll get an adult girl....

lol...cool...seems like you'll be swimming in snakes...I'm still hoping to breed my corns next month, but it all comes down to being able to get and fit in a rack first

Very nice pair you got going. There is differently a difference in color between the two! Will be looking for babies from you in a few years.
