For all you crested gecko owners with young cresties, I would like to share with you some pics of a plastic container with plenty of airflow, but enough cover to keep in humidity and costs around $5 bucks to do. Here are the pics: (Sorry the pics are grainy->taken w/ my palm pilot)

Thanks guys/gurls for the compliments. I actually had thought about it a while ago but recently did it last night. When I first got the crestie, I had her in 1 (the sterilite) with some 100+ holes done by a soldering wand. The problem is that there isn't enough airflow and the air becomes stagnant. With the new setup, my crestie is getting lots of fresh air and her enclosure doesn't smell that bad anymore. Do you guys think I could start a trend with these things for a bunch of different animals? Is it even worth the trouble?

I don't know if it's worth the trouble...about the same price for a kritter keeper plastic cage...I don't know...maybe bigger ones for chams? but then can you use the lighting?

Hmm. I would imagine a light fixture wouldn't be a problem with melting the plastic. I just completed a project where the plastic is in contact with temps up to 90* and it's still holding form. As far a larger versions, I also just made some of them...18 gallon containers with screened lids-->I am attempting to breed crickets and I think some babies have already been hatching.

Just thought I would throw that idea out there. :( I'll probably just end up making them for my personal collection and for my friends.
