He has a "wash me" look on his face! :D
I like that substrate you have too. I need to some different stuff for me beardeds. May have to try a few landscape places!

"White Breeze" is what it is called. We got it at the Landscaping yard right at I-25 and circle.. Pink breeze turns your animals extremely red, so I'd probably avoid it.

Had to throw in a few more Ackie shots. We just have one pair now... Since the big guy in the first pic killed our second female.

Great pics, nothing like having monitors that barely get over 2ft! :D

Those are sweet...
I have to say...I DO like monitors...even though they have legs...
I wouldn't mind a pair of these...
How is their temperment?

How is their temperment?
They're fantastic. I've been bitten by an ackie ONCE in keeping them for almost three years. For the most part, they're very docile, even with minimal handling.

May just have to get some...
How much ROOM do they need in an enclosure?

We keep a pair in a 3' x 3' x 2' enclosure. A 55 gallon aquarium filled halfway to the top with dirt works nicely as well.
Juvie trios live nicely in a 20 long aquarium for up to a year.

Thats not too bad...I can probably make ROOM for one or two...
I will have to look into it...for damn sure.

I got that problem, too...
Diversity is nice...but it will be hard once I start holding back from all the different species I am planning on breeding...
I will have to build a warehouse...LOL

There are lots of things I want, and I am proud to say that I am supremely confident that I will never have them!

See... now here's where my problem surfaces. If I really want something, I get it. Even if it isn't practical or smart at the time. :P

Another of my many problems...only add to practical and smart, "IF I'VE TOLD MY WIFE".
She isn't that into my hobby...and I have more snakes ordered and awaiting shipment most of the time than she could possibly ever know about...LOL
Racks, too...
And supplies...
I usually sneak my supplies in after she goes to bed...LOL

Does that mean that the Fedex or UPS truck pulls up with the lights off and you slip out in all black clothing, ski mask to receive them?

I have EVERYTHING shipped to my office.
It makes it easy to receive daytime packages with live harmless reptiles inside...LOL
Makes it easy to hide stuff until I have a chance to bring it home...
From where I am sitting I can see one 20gal screentop...a 24"fluorescent/incandescent combo light...a large replica mangrove root...a box full of other assorted CRAP (rocks, hides, plants, bowls, etc.)...
a new skateboard deck and full sheet of griptape...thats about it...
Should have seen it the end of last summer...I had 4 tanks (2 40's, a 20, and a ten, under a table in here...and BOXES of other crap...
Finally got all the tanks moved into the house...LOL
