Out of all the care sheets posted, I do not see Ackies in there so I guess I will just ask
Are those nice lizards as far as temperment goes?
How big do they get and do you know the life span for them?
They look like cute, hardy little guys! 8)

Great personalities, curious, smart, very agile (In other words they will escape if given a half baked chance) and easy to keep.

Provide a hot spot around 120 - 130F and a cooler spot around 80 - 90F

They also like to get into tight fitting cracks around rocks and under rocks. In the wild they normally live in borrows under large rocks.

I feed mine on crickets, pinkies, roaches and grasshopers I catch in the summer.

Good temperments!! :D

Here is a pic I took in Australia around Mt.Isa region where you get Ackies from. This was done in the summer and it was about 115F that day.

You are moving SO far away from the rest of us...well...closer to SPut...but FAR from us...

Oh well...I see how it is...you can become one of those west coast snobs...and never talk to your down to earth friends again...LOL

Hey Scott...you have some GREAT landscape photography...are you a professional or is it just a hobby?

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking...

Although my venomous experience is about ZERO...

But what better place to learn than in the deserts of Arizona...far far away from the nearest hospital...of course...I'll have a nurse with me...maybe have to fake loss of conciousness

ABSOLUTELY!! :D It wouldn't be the same without you!!
..besides, I don't know the first thing about field herping and I need friends to show me how.
I think that would be the coolest thing to be able to do and I don't think I should do it alone.

HAHAHA

Maybe we can wear black rubber suits and ski masks, no shoes...
Make sure we all drink BIG GIANT glasses of milk right before leaving...

I think it sounds like a blast...

Maybe I'll wear my heavy black leather trench coat and thermal underwear. Eat a bunch of heavily salted fries and we'll head out with no map!

I think that would be the coolest thing to be able to do and I don't think I should do it alone.

Alone is a little dull, always more exciting to share a find with somone. :D

You guys are scaring me and I am fearless!! LOL
I can't wait!! :P I am hoping to move in about 2 years but it might be a little longer because Sarah doesn't graduate 'til 2010.
I want to go in 2007 so we will have to see what happens in the next 2 years  . It is part of my 2/5 year plan!

Okay, that gives me a few years to get some eskimo clothing for the trip! Awesome!

Shall we all just meet in AZ in mid july? :D

I was thinking early August...

Everyone says it is a dry heat...so 115 in the shade shouldn't bother us too much...

I couldn't deal with that place...I like winter.
You could always move into the MOUNTAINS in AZ...
That way you could still experience a small slice of winter...and find us some locale AZ Mountain Kings...
