I have a new KSB that has been refusing to eat. I've tried live, F/T, and pre-killed. I've tried scenting live and dead, I tried waving the dead mice around. Anyone have some other ideas I could try?

place the KSB into a deli cup along with the live prey item, leave overnight...they typically will eat in that fashion 99.9% of the time when all else have failed.

I've tried that with no success.

make sure you're keeping the KSB fairly hot, 82-85 ambient and as high as 100 hotspot. They will stop feeding if the temps drop below this minimum.

i had the same problem with my red tail. i was told to let her get fairly hungry then using tongs and not touching the f/t at all, brain the food. using a razor blade lightly slice the head of the f/t untill the brain matter starts to show and then feed that way with the tongs. the first time took a couple of trys of putting the food in front of her face and then lightly tapping the food on the body of the snake finally she took it.

I stick a knife in their head and then squeeze it like a zit. Spread the gooey stuff that comes out all over the head.
They rarely refuse those...
Works great with pinkies and fuzzies...their skulls are much softer than adults.
Of course Alex's answer was best...use live prey.
You can also try a paper bag that has been stapled shut instead of a deli cup...
Some snakes like their privacy.
