anyone know if that bill passed?
I came across a site today that said u need proof that u live out of the 5 boroughs to adopt a bp...idiots...
if it did...I have 2 bps, what does that mean????

Hey Rachel,

I'm sorry to say it did pass but I'm not sure of how the law's are going to affect us Herpers yet.

grrr...that really pisses me off...what the hell...did u guys read it? no boids...like bps or rosys are going to kill us all...I did write about it...just goes to show what happens when ignorant people run our lives

I would not worry about what you own now..Just see if you have to get proper permits..In most cases i think they do this to make some side cash...lol..But unfortunatly this is how media and other things do not help the hobby..They see the Retic or Burm that got loose and ate the neighborhood yorkie,and all of a sudden you have a bunch of people who have no clue about Pythons etc. start pushing the movement..Think about it when someone who does not know better hear's the words Python or Boa constrictor they automatically think of a huge snake that kills people..I have met plenty of people that did not know that there were even different species that do not exceed the size of others..I think that it all stems from there fears of snakes without actually educating themselves on what they are banning..And there are also some hobbyists to blame wich leads to the owners..The failure to tell the person that they are selling the Retic to,that it will get so large..Or selling to impulse buyers..Wich leads to the to big,to fast ,let it loose theory..

true...some owners are stupid as well...
although what added to their odd research was that they were species specific on the monitors they banned but just clumped all boids together
