Boa info needed

I am thinking about getting a boa sometime in the future and have started doing my research.....I have found some wonderful sites that tell about the different species and care and sizes and pics and such but was wondering if any boa owners could tell me thoer thoughts on what they think is best and why...I am looking for a midsize..I want a large snake but not Burm or Tic size lol....secondly I keep seeing BCI and such on sites but NOWHERE does it say what these mean.....HELP ME Thanks
