I am here and so is Whitehorse and Bayou Beast. I have 2 savannahs and 1 blackthroat. Whitehorse has 1 savannah and Beast has too many to remember. lol
We all pretty much came over together and love our critters.
Start a subject and we'll do our best to join in.

really not sure what subject to start. I got my first sav monitor about 3 months ago and completely fell in love with the little guy. So friendly and curious, does the funniest things. If I wasn't in college and had more space instead of an apartment with roommates I'd be getting a lot more. one 4 foot Lizard is good enough for me.
what others have you guys delt with. I work at a shelter that used to have a 3/4 grown croc monitor. Not the friendliest guy and not teh cutest face but he sure was fun to watch. I've also been in contact witha guy in Bali that raises Komodo Dragons. Not for sale, but just as a hobby. He has them amazingly trusting him and used to be able to pick them up before they got heavier then he did.
This is my Mr.Creepy. He will be a year in Oct. This is an old picture. As soon as i get new ones i'll post them.

I got him for my husband, but he is really mine. LOL He likes to go for walks.(as you can see) and intimidating my cats. Ok he actually plays with Scarface threw his cage. It's pretty funny to watch.

Hi,
I have also recently acquired a savannah monitor and have also "fallen in love with the little guy." Whether the little guy has fallen in love with me is another matter though LOL. Well he now recognises me as the provider of crickets and pinkies, he stands on his hind legs to beg for food, jumps trying to catch the crickets even before I release them from my hand etc.
I must say that I don't know nearly as much on monitors as Kap10cavy and Bayou, most of what I know I have learned from them, no one has been as helpful to me. But I'm willing to share what I know.
Let's liven up this place!
Mark
I will try to help out as much as i can. Im sure we can get this place moving if we set out to do it.
