Anyone have any ATB's or know much about them?
How is their temperment?
and I heard they get RI's alot and are harder to take care of them most snakes.
Any and all feedback about ATB's would be great.

Thanks,
Jerry

Well there are many different color variations out there...(obviously)..lol..As far as temperment..It really depends on how much you work with them..I have some that are tame and some that are pure evil...RI never had any problems with it in ATB's....They do higher a slightly higher humidity level than most other boids..From working with Corallus species i have personally found the Cooks tree boas to generally have a more docile temperment....

You have a link to a good care sheet for them?
And have you had any problems with mildew or anything due to the higher humidity requirements?

Temperment varies. But I will say out of about a dozen or so ATBs there was only one that I could handle comfortably without being worried about getting nabbed by those sharp dagger like teeth. I have never owned any so this is merely my experiences with other peoples or ones at shows and such. Good luck, I hear they are very cool, especially as display animals.

if i get any they will definetaly be CB
working on a cage to transfer my IJCP to,when that is done will be looking into another snake. So far i cant really decide but its gonna be either GTP, ATB, or ETB.

I have a ATB and it is mean. I only got it because someone had it that had no idea how to keep it.
It was living im a 10 gallon aquarium, nothing to climb on and fed 1 pinkie every 2 weeks.
Now for a baby that would be fine, but this animal was 3 ft. plus.
I have had him for about 1 year and he has gotten alot healthier.
He is now closing in on 5 ft.(guess he aint stunted lol) and eats 3 hoppers a week. Home was built with extra wood I had left over from monitor cages. It is 3X3X4, with vines and a fake tree I had to shove in the cage.
He is still mean and bites. The dude is fast, nails me regular when doing cage cleanings. (not fun going to TaekwonDo classes with Barney bandaids on your arm) But by god he is fun to watch him stalk his prey.

Well if those are your choices for getting into aboreal Boids i would say a nice Aru GTP..would probably be your best bet temperment wise...Emeralds can be pretty docile also..But should they have one of those days they are not...Well front fanged sooooo...Ouch trust me it does not feel good at all....lol..There are many other Corallus species out there other than Amazons..So look around a little... :D

I'm kinda leaning towards a GTP but wanted to find out about the other tree dwellers that are out there before i make any decisions.
