Not a good idea feeding your snake when it is in the blue.

I try to leave any of my snakes who are in the blue alone as much as possible. They normally do not act like they enjoy being bothered at that time.

I have a cali king whose eyes started to cloud three days ago. She didn't mind being held and was very active until yesterday. It was also feeding day. I held her for 30 minutes and she diplayed normal behaviour other than not moving as much. That and while I had her on the palm of my hand, she opened her mouth and unhinged and rehinged her jaw. Is that NORMAL? I have NEVER seen them do this when they are not eating. She has not been aggressive and she hadn't eaten in a week so I fed her (after the handling) she devoured F/T pinks as fast as she could swallow, hasn't regurgitated (at least not as of this morning).
Why is this bad? I realize stress is not good for them, but she displayed regular behavior other than the opening and rehinging of her jaw.
Can someone please explain?
