What is a good size vision cage for ball pythons? Then again I was thinking of buying level by level and building up a freedom breeder. Do you want to keep ball pythons in a freedom breeder all of the time, and if so what size freedom breedom breeder is recommended? Any Ideas would be appreciated.

A 3' cages or equivalent is fine for adults..ERRR Vision i personaly dont like them so much..Check out www.moonstruckexotics.com
www.precisioncaging.com
As far as racks Freedom is not that bad..They just take a bit of modification to keep the heat and humidity right....Plus reeeal expensive..lol

Thanks - I looked at both of them and I like the precision caging medium or large enclosure. Shipping is ok too so I will most likely have one soon. Thanks again.

No problem...They are pretty good cages...Are you planning running heat tape on them/??

Sorry I haven't checked back in a little while. I don't know what I want to do yet. What do you recommend?

i'd probably skip the visions, they're kinda tall, kinda bright, a little not quite right for balls...

good luck with the hunt!

Well for a adult Ball Python i would have to say go with the Moonstruck..they hold humidity and heat well...Plus they come heated so all you have to do is just get it and plug in a reostat/thermostat and you are good to go... 8)

Hmm, does anyone by any chance have instructions on how to build those kind of enclosures? It doesn't seem to hard.

Blink building them is not really hard..taking the time and patience to build it and choose what medium (plastic.wood etc.) is the difficult part. Was chit chatting with Jason Of JAsons Jungles and found out its not difficult.
My biggest fear is hooking up the flexwatt I have no problems with building a rack but afraid of the heating issue LOL
So I think im gonna build an incubator instead and purchase my racks

I already know I want to build one out of PVC plastic.
I want mine to look exactly like Moonstuck Exotics enclosures.
The hard part in my case is trying to figure out how to put it together.
How in the world are those PVC pieces holding together?!
I also have a major problem with hooking up the flex-watt, I'm trying to find out if I can hook up a rack to one thermostat, cause if you read my Albino Het posts, you'd know that I'm cheap :P
Also I'm afraid of an electrical fire with that flex-watt.
I'm actually planning to just buy an incubator, because I don't really need a big one since I'll be only developing one clutch for now.

As far as getting the pvc or plastic to stick together there are a number of ways they do it..Some use plastic injection molding machines some use some kind of a plastic weld...I say save the hassle and buy one..But if you do make one good luck..AS far as heating the precision caging..If you only have a couple of tanks then T-rex has a heating pad out there that is the same material as flexwatt..Just slap one of those under the belly on one side of the tank get a reostat and your done..
