If you feed a snake more often, does it tend to grow bigger? I was just wondering because I saw a post about burms and it was said that they do, so does that apply to, say, boas? I have a rtb, about 25 inches long and feed it every 5-6 days. Do you think it will grow more? Just lookin for some input. Clint, LA

Yes, it does depend somewhat on the feeding schedule. Powerfeeding will not make the snake grow bigger than its genetics will allow, though. It just gets them to that size quicker. I don't really like power feeding because it can also lead to obesity which can be harmful to your snake.

I read somewhere that extreme power feeding can also shorten the lifespan of your snake.

I feed all my neonates every 6-7 days=once a week...Power feeding a burm and power feeding a Boa are pretty much 2 different things..Burms can reach 9-10 feet before there first birthday..Also powerfeeding is not to healthy for the snake...

POWER FEEDING WILL KILL your boas within 5 years, so Don't do it.
Like sudden death.

pretty much what he said... it's not worth the risks at all... if you want a big boa all you have to do is wait. (and take care of your boa)
nice and easy, that's the way to feed your boa. once a week, properly sized food item. that's the ticket!
