Yesterday my female black mexican kingsnake started to show signs of going into shed mode.
She was bred March 20th thru 26th..Hope she lays good eggs..she looks like a banana..she must have eggs clean up to her head. :lol:
She is a big girl to start with. Now the serious waiting begins...Like Alex says do the egg chant lay..lay..lay.. then hatch..hatch..hatch :D Mother is already nervous :shock:

No this is the only pair of adults I cooled...this is my first "birthing". I thought I had better try with just one clutch. I bought a hova bator incubator. It is all set up. Next year I plan on having the sinaloans,bairdis,Mex's,my snow, and maybe one pair of africans. :D
I have a few project females that are juvies...I am going to try something different. I have not mentioned it to anyone yet, but here goes.
I plan to breed a high metallic Kisatchie to a aztec female and an aztec lav. I am working to see if the "metallic" will pass on. My aim is to come up with a Metal flake lav and metal flake opals.
I have the two amels..one het lav and one het opal. My sister has an aztec lav male.
But, the best laid plans :lol:

Your corn snake project sounds really cool. I'll be interested in seeing a metallic lavender corn snake :D

This year, I have 10 clutches so far. If you want to call some of them clutches, anyway. I have 98 eggs incubating and am still expecting some. All of the eggs are cornsnake eggs (including creamsicles), except for 7 Cal King eggs. I am expecting 2 more corn snake clutches, and I think my Cal king is about to lay a second clutch of eggs. This will be the most babies I have ever produced myself. I am quite excited about it!!
