Hey gang ,
I had been feeding my rtb once a week for the longest time and now only wants to eat every two weeks . She still eats but not as offten and is not skinny . She is about 5 1/2' long and eats medium rats . She has not been bred so I know thats not the reason . Perhaps something I am missing ? Our BP and Corn Snake eat every week . Yeah I know they are another species But its not like Jazz to refuse to eat one week than eat another . Any thoughts ?

Well its like this some snakes just do that. Some of my boas will stop eating for a month then eat on there regular basis again. They can have a tendacy ti be finicky at time.Figure this a snake in the wild can go a long time without eating. As long as it is not loosing any sugnificant weight you should not be worried.

Thats what I figured and I have seen this with BP's alot but Jazz never did untill now . I guess its because she is more like family to me and my GF and my family all love her so much . Kind of like parents worried about their kids not eating enough . She has been with me a few years and has never bit anyone . One big reason I love RTB's . She makes a great good will embasadore for them :) .

Ya like i said they can be finicky. You say she has never bit anyone.Thats cool.Just never let your guard down. One of my dog tame Emeralds supprised me the other day and delivered a nasty bite wich resulted in more stitches than i wanted.Really you cant compare a Columbian to a Emerald as far as temperments go,but i have seen the most docile snakes turn.Never let your guard down.I am sure you know this but i had to say it. :D

Yes I do watch myself . Having Jazz for a few years I still keep my eyes open .
