I reckon you know the answer already, but I thought I would reply for those who would have the same question: an adult beardie's lenght is 19-23 inches and weight at least 250 grams. The German giant morph is a wee larger.
Bearded dragons are hardy (as long as you know how to care for them) and have great personalities. They make in my opinion an excellent first pet lizard. The one thing few people usually will tell you is that the cost of crickets deserves inclusion in the budget, they eat like little pigs lol.
I'm fairly new to beardies myself but please don't hesitate to ask me any question you may have. If I don't know the answer, I'll be glad to research it with you.

PS:Zipper (my beardie) says that this forum is too quiet.

A beardie that age should be pretty much full grown. The size ranges that Mark provided are pretty accurate.
A dragon that age should only have animal proteins comprise about 10 - 15 % of the overall diet. The rest should be vegetables and fruits.
There are some great sites to learn more about bearded dragons.
