If you could own any three species of snakes what would you choose?

Oooh, man what a tough call. Well, my first and number one answer would be Python regius, my second will have to be Crotalus tigris, and my third choice would be...Hmm... Python anchietae

Whew, there are SOOO many others, but since I only had three choices, those are them!

I'm really not that big on keeping the large snakes; though Retics are probably my second favorite snake; and if i had the resources and crew necessary; i would love to own at least one Super Tiger Retic. Maybe when there's a good dwarf genotype produced. The only other designer snake I'd want is a snow (leucystic) Royal Python. Probably cost more than I'll ever be able to afford, however; and there's still no solid bloodline for them that i'm aware of.

More realistically, the ones i want most are native North American snakes.

Eastern Indigoes (Drymarchon corais couperi) - Native to Florida and parts of Georgia. I definitely plan on owning and hopefully breeding Indigoes someday. From what i've read, they're probably more work than any other snake aside from the big ones.

Rubber Boas (Charina bottae) - One of the smallest of the boidae, they're native to the Pacific NW. Despite being a PNW native myself, I've never actually seen one in the wild. Beautiful little snakes, though. Can also somewhat tricky to care for, since they prefer cooler temps than most snakes.

That snake is simply gorgeous! It's one of the ones on my wish list. I have several I want to get, but it may take me a couple of years...

As for the top three I'd want:
1. Piebald Ball Pythons (I probably won't ever have these because of the cost)
2. Kenyan Sand Boas
3. Brazilian Rainbow Boas

Lets see. (in no particular order)

Boelen's Python

Indigo Snake (Texas or Eastern)

Albino Monacled Cobra (this one will probably be a never in my lifetime-but I can gaze at photos on the web!)

Alex, I have one mex. black king right now-and wouldn't part with him! He's one of the most gorgeous snakes I have ever owned.

Wow, I may have to get one of those too. Beautiful snake.

But that would be along with, rather than instead of, Indigoes (I prefer the Eastern to the Western/Texas subspecies). My interest in Indigoes is as much for what they are, and their "Threatened" status, as it is for looks. I believe there should be more establised, experienced breeders available -- hard to do, considering how difficult they are to breed.

You know, I had only planned to end up with a very few snakes. Y'all are not making this easy. :)

#1 definitely would have to be Jungle Carpet Pythons,

followed closely by #2 albino boa,

and my third choice would probably end up being a GTP...

So far I have two of the three on my list, and I would like to have my BRBs on the list, but a GTP would make an awesome display! The brbs only display when you have them out!!

Since you said 3 species only not 3 specimens only, I'm basing my first pick on number of morphs available. So:
1. Corns
2. Kenyan Sand Boas
3. Dumeril's Boas

Well, let's see.

1) corns - love them and wouldn't not have them

2) Columbians - have two normals but my dream is having a Salmon but at the price I will have to wait.

3) Rainbow Boa - just love their colors
