Thats the thing. The biggest thing I had was the Blood and he resides with Jeremy now. And I don't know anyone local with large snakes. And Oscar isn't big enough for a full grown rat yet either. I guess I could put them in the freezer for him when he gets bigger. How long can I keep them in the freezer?

If you use a food saver type of thing (make sure you freeze it before you seal it with one of these) it will stay for a year + in there....they claim that it keeps game meat fresh for up to 3 years so I imagine it would be similar with a rat just not sure I would keep it that long....

Thanks. Oscar should be able to eat larger stuff by next year.

I would be glad to if I could figure out how to do it without it costing a fortune to do so.
I told my mom that I needed to get bigger snakes and she about went into a seizure....lol

I have the two gi'normous boys in the freezer ...after they tried to kill me (rescued boys) ...and just waiting for a HUGE rescue to come in ..or someone with a HUGE snake to come along :eusa_eh:
The other thing you could do ..and it could be a long shot where you are ...is look into adopting them out as pets ...to a rescue or an individual. Our local "pet-food-express" allows pics to be posted on their bulletin ..but no charges are allowed, so you'd have to relinquish as freebies ...worth a shot? :noidea:

I would do that BUT some of them are over three years old. I got them from someone else and wasn't told their age until a few weeks ago when I mentioned that they aren't reproducing. I hate to give them to someone as a pet and they end up dieing on them. And the other four are really agressive to top it off. The one that had the problem deliveries went to a new home though.

deff a good idea... put that they are older breeders, and dont reproduce, but also be sure to use the hide email option, you dont want to get spam for breeding feeder rats... those PETA/wanna bees are freaks lol

craigslist is a good idea ...there are folks that troll (in a good way) those sites for rat kids ..young and old ones ..........in fact, there's a lady in Canuck that loves to adopt the oldies and give them a great "old folks' home" ..she spends a fortune on Boost, Ensure and Vets

I am getting rid of most of my rats tomorrow.
Some are going for feeders and some for breeders.
I cant take the noise and smell in my apartment any more. Even with a large window fan I am cleaning cages about every three days. I figured out what it costs me to keep them. And It won't cost much more to buy what I need. Plus if you calculate in what I had to buy when they had a dry spell of not producing babies. It actually cost me more to breed them. I figure I will keep three girls and a boy for now. Then I should have what I need for the corns and little bps. I am also keeping the three ASF colonies that I have going. I can't wait. Then I will have more room for reptiles....
I want to get some more types of geckos and frogs.
