One is better than none!
Both of my 2007 rubber boas are eating. Only one of the 2008's, but newborns are like that. Sometimes you just have to let them brumate and the next spring they come out chomping....Problem is I need a magnifying glass to pop them, and an extra hand!
congrats...im going to agree with Scott

That is an intriguingly strange and sausagey looking snake... so they have weird eating habits huh?
That's what I need Kare; one more weird looking snake to add to my 'want' list! Are they really difficult to keep?

Ok, I'm not Kare, but I have a few rubber boas too...lol. Actually, they're very easy to keep! They don't need any special temps and like it on the cool side (mid to upper 70's..80 tops, unless they're gravid). They stay small (2.5' is about maximum) and eat like pigs ONCE you get them started. They can also go for very long periods without food if the temps are low. We had to brumate our 2007 baby rubbers (yeah, I had a small clutch too) because they never did eat in 2007...nothing for about 4 months...then they started eating a month or two after they warmed up in 2008. They do like a humid hide though.
Best thing...they never bite!! Well, ours never have!

As Scott says, they are easy. ONCE they start eating. My largest girl is about 18" and eats 2 f/t weanling mice or f/t fuzzy rats. The boys are pickier eaters. They don't eat as much as the girls, but then they are about a third of the size of the girls. They do gorge themselves, then go off feed for a month or so, too. One good thing about rubbers, is they never regurge. I've seen a little one eat 3 mouse pinks and look like a water balloon in the tummy, with no problems.
To read up on them go to www.Rubberboas.com. Feeding techniques, housing, etc. everything is covered.
