I decided to shove some paper towel rolls into an old cracker box. My little mice LOVE it!

That is very, very cute! Those kids sure have big ol' honkin' ears, heh? :becky: I think I'll do something similar for the "little kids" that Fiona snuck in on me ...once they open their eyes and really get rambunctious!

They were loving it. They kept playing on it constantly. I am sure they will have it chewed up very soon, though! They do have big ears, don't they? I didn't noticed that. I wonder if it because they are all rex's.

These are the little African ones, right? When I first saw the top baby, I thought .."geez, his ears look like the bat's ears ..haha". I've never seen Rex mice before these either... so cute.. err, I mean TASTY, I'm sure! :D I had a little Silkie mouse once... looked like a little black bear with his long black fur and smoke grey under coat. I could even part his hair down the middle!

As far as I know, they are just regular mice! I don't think I've seen a silkie before. I bet it was cute! I've got some better pics of the rex's.

I have some that I think might be satin rex's. They are extremely shiny.

I agree! I have set up a good colony of rex mice so I can see what happens with them. I am wondering if there are any genetic problems if a rex is bred to a rex. All of the mice in that tank above are rex's.
I do, unfortunately have a few left in with parents and they will become food eventually. I'm wondering if they would be harder for young snakes to digest since they have longer hair.
