I've had them. They are a bit small (even the large ones). My dragons liked them. They are soft bodied like a wax worm but not so fatty. Have higher calcium than silks (so it says). I get them for a change and will use them when the eggs hatch. As well as "Minimealworms" They are both on the active side.
I'm curious about Twisters. I've seen ads in Reptiles but know nothing about them. I try to feed a variety though Monroe only seems to eat earthworms. The others have days when they are picky but generally eat everything. The more active the food is the better.

Bump! has anyone else fed these and what is there opinion. they claim to be extremly high in calcium and also extremely active. How tiny are they? and Damn they're expensive! if i wanted to breed these are they the same as mealworms and superworms?

we sell them and use them at the petshop . they are definately more expensive than other worms . what i have read about them is that they do have higher calcium than other worms and that dusting can be reduced if feeding them . we sell large (about the size of a medium meal worm), med , small and extra small . the extra smalls would be ideal size for something like dart frogs . most of the critters we feed these to take them readily .

Have you tried hornworms? My critters love them. Rob was at Tinley last year and has built his business up nicely. (Great Lakes Hornworm) I'm lucky enough to live close to him so I can get them without shipping. I really like them for the babies.

That's kind steep. I haven't gotten them in a few months but I was getting 100 for $35 I think. They were always overcounted. I even got eggs once but I don't know if he's doing that or if it was a favor to me because I needed really small ones.

I think I might have gotten twisters at the bait shop. They called them red spikes but they didn't look anything like a spike. They were red and quite active. The dragons liked them BUT a couple of them must have gotten free of the bowl because I ended up with a couple flies in their tank. Yuck--flies.
For anyone wanting to check out the hornworms here is his info. (His hornworm web site should be up soon)

They are expensive but he sells them cheaper than Mulberry Farms and other dealers online. They get hugh so you don't have to feed as many as say silkworms. I think the green color and their activity encouraged my babies to eat. They absolutly loved them. I'm going to work them in on these new clutches.
