Anyone know of anything ever happening in Texas or of any sites where I could find such events? I'm so bored down here, I miss the midwest! :(

to my knowledge texas has some decent shows. I actually tried to go to one in houston last summer to check out some amazing hots, but could not get off work. I don't know how close you are to Richardson or San Antonio but you can check out http://www.texasreptiles.com/ . it lists a few shows. From what I hear the san antonio one is supposed to be pretty good, and you cang et a close up look of some amazing hots when you're done gazing at everythign else.

Everything in Texas is a bit of a drive, but my husband and I have nothing better to do on the weekends but take a road trip...especially for a reptile show. :)

Tokay, the geckos are probably all in hibernation right now (everything down here is currently dead or sleeping). However, my husband used to tell me about all the geckos that he found in his barracks during the summer, so I bet I could find them now that we have a house in a remote location. Our back yard is a big open grassland-type area with a pond, stream, and groves of trees. I know we have deer, coyotes, snakes, rodents, and fish...I bet geckos are around too. ;)
