What does it mean when you have 2.1 snakes?

Okay. I have a complete newbie question.. I notice that people post their snakes in some of the sigs.. What does it mean when they have 2.1 or 1.4...

example..
1.1.0 Colombian Redtail Boas
2.1.0 Sumatran Blood Pythons

I have yet to find the search parameters to tell me what it means.

they are refering to the sexes of the animals...

the first digit represents a male, the 2nd a female, and the 3rd is unsexed.

so...something that looks like this would be....

2.3.2

2 males, 3 females, and 2 unsexed

if you only see 2 digits....then its a male, female
if you see 3 digits....then its male, female, and unsexed
