While sis and I were at scales n tails waiting for matt to get off work there was this person who wanted a Green Bottle Blue. She was all: "I want that one! my friends will be so jelous, and Ill take it to school and hold it out for everyone to see!" sis was all: "Wait a second... you do realize that this spider is a lookie-no-touchie, right?" "Its what?" "You CANT hold this spider" "Why not?" "See for yourself" She opened the lid and that spider reared up and raised it's hind leg, she shut the lid and the girl walked away, horrified. It was great!

Its sad that alot of people are too stupid to realize that some of the prettiest spiders are so dangerous. That they are stupid enough to think taht some of the "lookie-no-touchie" spiders cannot be held, and well.. they do and get themselves hurt.

Dont you agree?

I'm not sure what your poll is asking for. Are you wanting people to guess which one is the most dangerous, or most aggressive, or maybe something else?

Regarding Green Bottle Blues... They're skittish, but certainly not aggressive. Their venom is not particularly toxic, although some people can experience allergic reactions.

If you're learning from the Scales N Tails boys, I understand why you may be confused regarding some of these things.

I never said they are toxic... -shrugs- owell. 8)

O.o; Im not learning from the ScalesNTails boys... Im learning from this d00d named Chris Powell... he's an arachnologist... with an extreamly large collection... VERY large collection :D

I wouldnt learn from those boys if my life depended on it! Specually matt, he blame deatsh of 2 of his poison dart frogs on brain-deadness... which is accually true, cuz of the species. XD But he didnt know till someone told him!

<.< You know them?

I've had to handle my Green bottle on two occasions to prevent escape, they seem to be more of a rais up and bluff more than an actual biter. and I've handeled two bird eaters with no problem but have heard they're notorious for being nasty. Never heard of a mouse spider before but looked it up, wow those are some fangs. Ont hat list I'd have to say the indian ornamental would be the best lookie no touchie. Amazingly gorgeous as adults, and most powerful venom for a T. The breeder I recieved mine from ahd a friend who was bitten by a juvi and ahd muscle spasms for 4 days on his right side. I'd also probably say for the other catagory, I've never seen anything as aggressive or as fast as a cobalt blue.

I guess I should inform you that I tend to fancy the biters. I like the aggressive lil monsters, adds some excitement to the collecting. So my definition of "not biters" may be different than everyone elses. but to this day my GBB has had no fangs burried into me so I still consider them more flighty and nervous, than aggressive. She's never even tried.

I wouldn't by any means call my GBB a sweetie, I would prefer not to handle it, I only have to prevent it from running away. I have a picture of it somewhere, I'll try and dig it up to post it

o.o; You don't have to if you dont want to... <.< but when I said "Friskeys a sweetie pie" I ment that he has never bitten anyone in his life... he hasn't even nipped! ^^ Pretty nice for a boa... :D

<.< I think that one of the few 'sweet' taranchulas.. of course... is the rosehair. We used to have one, then gave it to my dad's friend, Mike W.

Though... the best bug ever is the Hercules Bettle thats found in tuscon, AZ during the summer. I find it so amusing you give them a banana and the moment they bury their head in it, you wont see him all day! And trying to take the banana away is impossible!

^^; heh. Sorry about the randomness... I'm just a wee bit hyper... thats all. [finished finals and I passed them all! =D]

The cobalt blue I had was far and away the most aggressive. Although, I've only had a few.

for the most part in my experience, anything Psalmopoeus spp... is extremely aggressive, as well as most anything fromt eh asian or australian continents, with a few, but very rare exceptions.
