I got an email from one of the people doing the show, Kari, and she said that Casey & Darla Hulse are helping to organize it, so those of you who know them can talk to them as well as Kari about the show.

I need to email her back. I like the idea of selling my reps without having to ship.

Kari and her husband go to the Valparaiso and Taylor shows, so anyone who goes to them has most likely met or at least SEEN the Collisons.

I don't know if they are aware of this forum, so I'll send her the link.

Hi! I'm Kari Collison, and my husband and I are organizing this show in Kalamazoo. First of all, thank you very much Shelly for posting this here! We are very excited about this, and so far the reaction has been nothing but positive. The website has a link for directions, or MapQuest works great, too. If anyone has any questions or suggestions, please feel free to let us know! We will do everything we can to make this a big success for everyone involved!

Thanks.
Kari and Tony

Just wanted to let you know that we have started a vendor listing on the website for the show. So far we have some great vendors going, including Alex Hue and Nature's Spirit. Check the site for the complete list so far, and keep checking back for additional updates as more tables are reserved. Also, if anyone would like a table at the show, please let me know so I can get your name on the list, too!

Thanks!
Kari

Oh wow this couldn't be more perfect timing! Mike and I were looking for something fun to do soon (our anniversary's in September) so a nice night away from the kidlets PLUS a reptile show sounds great!

Any recommendations on decent hotels near the show? Remember I want to save most of our hard earned bucks for the show LOL!

Any of the Hotels on Sprinkle Rd. or Cork St are fine. Well, the good name ones. They are all right off I-94 too (exit 80), and right by a bunch of restaurants and fast food.

Fairfield, Best Western, Clarion, Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn.

There is also a brand new Hampton Inn at exit 72 off I-94. Very nice place. It isn't by as many restaurants, but lots of fast food.

If you want any more information you can PM or email me! I grew up in this town.

Well heck I guess if Alex is doing the show that means that I'll also be there. Even though it is opening weekend of deer season. But I'm sure I'll have my fill of deer blinds by then....

I believe I read something in Fauna that says Alex will be there. You will already have a couple of deer Ken..... :P

Well you must know something I don't. It's been a couple of years since I have got a deer. Maybe this year will be my lucky year, but well i know how my luck goes...

At least I know I'll have enough ducks and pheasants in the freezer to last a little while by then

I just wanted everyone to know that we currently have 22 tables reserved for the show. We have secured a rodent vendor for those of you that need to pick up some food for your critters. We even have someone bringing a toucan that you can watch eating! There are still tables available if anyone is interested. Hope to see all of you there!

You have a rodent vendor coming! Good lord I'm ordering rodents all the way from Texas to Michigan and it's still cheaper than buying them locally (isn't that just freakin sad!). I'll have to toss a cooler in the back of the car. Thanks for the heads up.

The show date is approaching fast! We have at least 25 tables filled. Also, Nature's Spirit will be giving away 100 free crickets to anybody who buys a reptile from any vendor at the show! I'm really getting excited! Hope to see you all there!

Due to a recent odd death in my collection I won't be bringing any animals to sell, but I wouldn't miss this show for anything! It should be a very good show and hopefully we can generate some serious local interest.

Everyone with kids please bring yours! My guys should be there with me from 11-2 (if they can behave themselves).

Help make this show great, BRING FRIENDS!!!! BUY STUFF!!!! =D> :D :P

Unfortunately with some recent issues with Mike's health a long drive back and forth in one day isn't possible so we are not going to be able to come to the show this year. Have a great time everybody though and hope to meet you all next year!

Well even if Mike felt up to the drive, now his *grit teeth* employer decides everyone is working overtime tomorrow (Saturday). Real nice to mention this Friday afternoon after saying all week there was no overtime this weekend *more teeth grinding whilst being happy hubby has a decent job...but REALLY!....grrrrrrrrrrr*

Have a great time everybody. Really wish I could be there!

Sounds like i need to reserve a spring table.Although im not so worried about the hotels.I need a good bar or 2 or 3..
I kinda wonder what the hotel staff would say about a bunch of vocal Tokay's grunting all night also.
