The Australian Knob Tail Gecko comes in a variety of sub species. We
currently only work with (Nephrurus Levis Levis). Our groups of
Levis Levis range from dark almost patternless animals to very light
hypoish animals. The more hypo appearing animals are a brick to fiery
red.
We keep our Levis Levis on natural fine sand that is moistened at one
end of the container with a overturned hide over the moistened sand.
This is a nocturnal species of gecko and only comes out to feed in the
evening. During the day, they will bury themselves underneath the
overturned hide within the sand. Temps. are kept 82-83 Ambient with a
hotspot of 92 at the warm end. They grow fast on a consistent diet of
crickets and mealworms.
This is my favorite species of gecko, big bulging eyes and a peculiar
knob at the tip of their tail makes them almost cartoon like.
